Teacher's Day Celebration

Teacher’s Day Celebration

"It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge." We celebrate Teachers' Day every year on September 5th across the country. On this day, students express their gratitude and appreciation for their teachers. This day is dedicated to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the second President of India. He was a great academic philosopher, diplomat, scholar, and above all, a teacher. As a tribute to this remarkable teacher, his birthday is observed as Teachers' Day.

A celebration was conducted at B.R. International School by our students on 5th September 2019. The entire event was planned by the students of grades XI and X. It was decided that the students would take on the responsibility of teaching as a gesture of appreciation for their teachers. In keeping with Indian culture, we began the event with a prayer. A total of 40 students participated in Teachers' Day celebrations. The students prepared a timetable for the first two periods and went to their respective classes to deliver lectures on the subjects of the ongoing semester. The day began as usual at 8:00 a.m., with all students in the role of teachers. Those who were not teaching at the time were seated in the staff room. The remaining students, who were not part of the event, continued studying seriously without making any noise or mischief. As a token of love, all participating students were appreciated and rewarded with snacks.

The students performed a scintillating cultural show to express their love, respect, appreciation, and recognition of the hard work put in by the teachers toward their development. The cultural show featured poems, songs, dance, and drama. Additionally, the students entertained the teachers by arranging fun games for them. Through this celebration, they highlighted the vital role that teachers play in shaping their students into accountable citizens and wonderful human beings. Teachers are the cornerstone of the students' future, and there is nothing enough to truly gratify them for their selfless service and commitment. All the teachers enjoyed and appreciated the program. The event concluded with the Principal's address, where he extended his heartfelt thanks to all the students on behalf of the staff. He also appreciated the new prefects for their successful coordination.
