Today, a special awareness program was organized at B.R. International School, Dharampur by the local police team with the objective of educating students about safety and legal awareness. Police officers Ms. Anjanaben Chaudhary, Ms. Karishmaben, and Mr. Dharmeshbhai were present and provided detailed information on child safety, self-defense, and various legal provisions.
The police team explained in a very simple and effective manner how children can protect themselves and understand the difference between ‘good touch’ and ‘bad touch’. Students were encouraged to report any unknown person or uncomfortable situation to their parents or teachers without fear.
The officers also gave a live demonstration of basic self-defense techniques, especially for girl students, and provided practical training on how to stay safe in difficult situations, thereby boosting their confidence.
Information was also shared about the ‘SHE Team’ and the importance of using helpline numbers such as 1098 (Child Helpline) and 100/112 in case of emergencies.
During the interactive session, students asked questions about how to become police officers and pursue careers like IPS/IAS, which were answered in detail by the police team.
At the end of the program, the school principal expressed gratitude to the police team, stating that such initiatives help develop respect for the law among students and make them feel more secure in society.
The event was attended by the entire school staff and a large number of students. The program was conducted in a disciplined and organized manner.
